Customer Due Diligence

There are 7 elements to CDD:

  • Identify the customer/beneficial owner & source of funds/wealth

  • Profiles of expected activity

  • Approval for specific products/services

  • Assessment of the risks of the customer

  • Monitoring of account & transactions

  • Investigation of unusual activity

  • Document findings

CCD should be consolidated across all regions and all products sold to the customer by an institution.
